Hi Allan, You could give Swindon Racing Engines a call: 01793531321 speak to Paul Broadway or Eric Pasture.  They can work within your budget to rebuild just the block.  There work is very high quality as they build engines for touring cars and historic racing.  I posted a few picture of my engine, search for s14 conversion in this forum and you will see the type of work they can do.
All the best

Hi Rich,

I am hoping to get hold of a 2002 in the fairly near future, probably preferably a tii, as a basis for a historic rally car!
Obviously something solid is important, without a sun roof, whist it does not need to be concours or have nice trim!

I would be very grateful if you could put me in touch with anyone rallying a 2002.  Is Donald Brooker still around?  We competed against him in about 2003 on the Jim Clark Memorial Rally in our Datsun 240Z (we didn't get that far!).

I would be keen to hear from anyone who might be able to help us get on the right track, as it were and hope that maybe you may know the right people!

Thanks in advance for your help.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

I've won a few on ebay and refused to buy once seen in
the metal. Not as described even though I'd gone to
great lengths by email and phone to quiz the vendors.
There are good viable projects/cars out there its just
a matter of sorting the wheat from the chaff. Be lucky
and don't buy something your not 100% happy with. I
always take an indifferent friend to be my reality
check!

There's quite a difference in price between a 2002
touring standard 02 and Tii in A plus conditions.
