Can anyone use this piece of glass? (before I list on E Bay)
BMW 2002 Targa Cabriolet near side targa quarterlight glass
Comes with 'wheeled' window fitting
Bought as a spare when chasing the one I really needed at the time (off side!)
Long since unavailable from BMW themselves Very very difficult to source
Ca
n't be cut from flat glass owing to curvature
I spent hours on the phone with Yellow Pages without success. At that point it all made sense why the car I had bought came with a piece of perspex in place instead
Price reflects scarcity
Buyer to collect or make own arrangements.......courier firms have a certain 'resistance' towards glass so be warned
Can be collected from Sheffield / South Yorkshire or Chesterfield / North Derbyshire
Give me a call if you want to discuss. Or discuss delivery/collection. 07970 858983. Graham
I want to get the 2002 rolling but I don’t have a working pair of ’02 calipers.. they are all on the bench looking very sad.
I do however have some E21 discs and callipers.. and also a set of Volvo 240 calipers
I’m sure I can cobble something together out of that lot.. any ideas before I start.
Thanks,
Nick
A very Wet & Windy day, but well worth it.

Apparently, you need different hubs, poss ti,tii or E21 320i 4 cyl. I'm not sure why, poss the offset is different with the bigger bakes making the disc not line up with the caliper. If this is so, I'm sure an engineering works could make a stepper bracket for you, a question I would like to know the full answer to myself. Hopefully someone who's tried this will answer.
Does any one know the BMW part number for an upgraded brake master cylinder when converting 2002tii to vented e21 rotors. Rob Shisler wrote a piece in the BMW Car Club magazine issue 57 June/July 2004 page 32/33 mentioning the master cylinder from a e28 528 model is this bulkhead mounted?

Hi, You want the master cylinder from a 1976 to 1981 633/635 csi or the same year 5 series. E28 master cylinders (1982 on)are different and wont fit without work. The former master cylinders have a larger bore size than the stock 02 item. It is not imperative that you change to the larger cyls. It means that the pedal pressure required to operate the brakes is less.
Cheers,
John.

You need to get the E21 front hubs. If your front legs are tii, get 6 cyl e21, if they are 2002 carb, you will have to source early 4 cyl legs (prior to 1980) and the whole lot will bolt on except for the calipers as they are different.
