Still had a sticky moment yesterday when I went to fire up the Touring. Yep you've guest it a familiar 'click'. To cut a long story short turned out the be the live feed to the starter motor, battery end. A proper clean up with some emery paper sorted the problem. I also replaced that small mucky in line filter for one twice the size. So far so good. The 2000 seems happier and a bit more lively too!

Thanks for the responses. Cooks ferry were saying 4 hrs if they don't have any problems so I'll most likely give them a miss. I may have a word with munich legends but its a bit of a trek from east london when I have limited braking power.

What about David Evans' tii? I havent seen his one featured before and there's alot of history to go with his ownership.
If you didn't already know this year is 35 years since the Turbo was launched. To Celebrate we are Guests of honour at the "Oktoberfest 2008" held at Gaydon Motor Musuem on the 10th August.
I hope you'll join me in celebrating at the Heritage Musuem, I look forward to seeing you there.
