When we were in the Netherlands one of the Dutch guys, who knows Rich and obviously checks www.BMW2002.co.uk, commented that the cars of the month on the bmw2002.co.uk site are always so immaculate and that it wouldn’t harm to feature a few more ‘real world’ cars to make sure we are shown practicing the inclusive approach that we actually believe in.

The problem is, however, that people only send their cars in once they have spent lots of money on them, understandably, but it would be great to also have a few cars of the month that are someone’s daily driver/beater/smoker; every 02 (indeed any car of that age) has a story to tell. Of course we would all love an ‘as new’ or fully restored car, but the key thing is that the cars are being used and are out on the road; I am as guilty as anyone of not driving my car enough.

So this is a call to absolutely anyone with an ‘02 to send pics and 2-3 (or more) paragraphs to Richard to be featured as car of the month; even if it has been in a barn for 10 years, tell us the story of why you bought and what you still plan for the car… At the very least it would be great to get a picture of every 02 that is associated to those registered on here (Paul we might have to start a separate thread just for your cars J ); infact I will start that very thread now.
