According to BMW themselves the "...new BMW 1 Series Coupe is a remodelled version of the classic 2002 line..."

Get a copy of the BMW 1 Series Coupe brochure to see for yourselves; they have of course gone with a '02 in the best colour, although bizzarely not the Mobile Tradition car.

However the brochure isn't actually laced with '02s, there is only a a double page spread with two pictures, but still great recognition.

The number on the back is: 711 001 449 21 2 2007 VZ. Printed in Germany2007. Unfortunately they don't have the full brochure available as a download from the website, only model specific details.
