Jiglu: BMW '02 Owners: Discussion: Re: K&N air filter

I ran my old Tii first with stock exhaust and then with an ansa exhaust and later with the ansa plus a K&N. Ansa was horrible and boomy, and rusted in about a minute. Plus I didn’t like the raspy induction noise from the filter. In my experience I prefer the stock set-up and can’t say I noticed any difference in performance – if there were a few horses to be found there I’d have thought BMW would have harnessed them in the first place.
