I replaced the headlights on my '71 (pre – 71) 2002 with American headlight buckets which will take conventional UK light units. There is a bit of fiddling around but the result is excellent lights. The uints I fitted are Cibie's fitted with halogen bulbs. I'm not sure if there is a difference in the fittings of the various type of grille's, mine is the early all alloy type. I could take some photos if you want to try my mod, let me know.

Hi Mike, wouldn't these be set up for LHD being from the states?? Found this site which is really cheap compared to UK but the beam would be wrong. http://www.1aauto.com/1A/HeadLights/BMW/2002  Can the beam be altered??
