Pete,

Mine has the controls on the stalk, so you just move the stalk up and down to get the desired speed, just drives me a bit nuts in drizzle, I had a Lux once and what with my other car being modern perhaps I am a little bit impatient.

Dont worry about the intermittent, I have rego in a couple of weeks (my version of MOT) so I will just take what I ordered for now. I can always change it later.

I should be able to get hold of the stalk switch and relay for late intermittants, but you may have to bodge the wiring to get them working. Is yours the model with all the wiper control on the stalk switch then? Should have positions for OFF/SLOW/FAST or the intermittant type should have OFF/INTER/SLOW/FAST.
There may be other details I haven't considered, I really do need to confirm a few things about the set-up, but hopefully the knowledgable Mr Hudson has already read this and is preparing me a short essay about it ;')
So basically I'm still uncertain about the late car intermittant setup, but I do know that the early model (with the on/off on the wipers and a two position switch on the dashboard) can be retrofitted with inters quite easily, you just change the dash switch and relay for the intermittant type ones.
