Your car Kev is the 1492 built. 45th from the end of the 71 – 73 model run and 384 from the end of the total touring production run. As you know your car was first registered on 1/8/1974 which certainly seems pretty late for an early looking car as touring production stopped April 1974. I think an N reg touring is pretty rare indeed.

Give Andreas at Mobile Tradition a mail if you haven't done so already and he will tell you exactly when your car was built and shipped to BMW GB. I do doubt it is tax exempt with that late 71 – 73 chassis number but hey its good to know for sure!
