Jiglu: BMW '02 Owners: Discussion: RE: Classic BMW car insurance

I’ve used Aon for at least 10 of the 15 years I’ve had my 02 and they have been fine, including dealing with a claim where I picked a fight with an HGV. A bit old fashioned sometimes but basically a good, and good value, policy. I think they also do ‘laid up’ cover fairly cheaply.

I also am insured through AON. Multiple classic car policy's. Two classics on each policy with unlimited miles. I had to use them for a three car pile up in our own garage (Don't ask!) They were outstanding and sorted it all out quickly and it was pretty painless.

I can't recommend them high enough. I'm a bit out of touch about who is the cheapest though. Its been a while since I did the big 'call round'.

Hi all,
Could anyone recommend an Insurer that supplies a reasonably priced car
insurance for off the road/under restoration/not even close to being
back on the road, types of scenario. I've called a couple of insurers
from the BMW mag but they only seem to do a standard limited mileage
policy?
I just need a really basic fire/thieft cover.
Any thoughts?
