I should have one of those Martin I'll take a look tomorrow and let you know. I also have a bunch of corroded bumper number plate lights I couldn't bare to throw away.
I need a switch that goes in the tail gate latch, seem to have mis-laid the original.
I'm going to rechrome the rear light casings as they are pitted badly on top and could do with restoring, I'll see if they can do the chrome strips at the same time.

Hi, Having replaced all the chrome strips that I could around the middle of my touring I don't know what to do with the rear chrome strips which BMW sadly no longer stock. The 2 originals are dented in several places. I have 2 spare which are in better condition although they both have a small dent of 2 and a couple of scratches. Would it be possible to have these straightened out and re-chromed or would it be better to try and source a couple of 2nd hand pieces in good condition? Many Thanks,Martin
