Yes I've finally fitted the new lock and refitted the door card.  For the first time in my ownership I can lock both doors!  Hooray for 70's security.  I celebrated by washing the car but on the way home a car in front belched out black smoke and broke down.

Paul: I didn't manage to check for polaris with a torch as we had to whizz off and get some oil.  Mineral 15W 40 is the best we could get.
