Upgrade brake master cylinder for Big Brake conversion
Does any one know the BMW part number for an upgraded brake master cylinder when converting 2002tii to vented e21 rotors. Rob Shisler wrote a piece in the BMW Car Club magazine issue 57 June/July 2004 page 32/33 mentioning the master cylinder from a e28 528 model is this bulkhead mounted?

Hi, You want the master cylinder from a 1976 to 1981 633/635 csi or the same year 5 series. E28 master cylinders (1982 on)are different and wont fit without work. The former master cylinders have a larger bore size than the stock 02 item. It is not imperative that you change to the larger cyls. It means that the pedal pressure required to operate the brakes is less.
Cheers,
John.

Cheers John, I guess the e28 master cylinder applies to the american spec cars.
HI, It might do, but the master cyls on LH drive cars are down on the floor. That's the problem with info that is specific to either LHD or RHD markets.
Cheers,
John
