May break my 75 Tii

7 messages
Hello
I am not sure I have the time or money to continue with the restoration of my 75 Tii. If i had to break it what should the following parts be worth on e-bay or the like.My problem is I have too many projects on the go at once.
5-speed box and prop.
Black lux interior with no tears and minimal wear.
Door cards with the wood trim.
good/new sections of bumpers
undamaged rear square lights
Good engine (car can still be driven)
Good bonnet
Brand new front/rear shocks and springs from BMW (standard Tii)
Basically everything else on a tii.
If the sums add up I will break it , if not I will carry on the slow task of doing it up.
Thanks in advance Paul

Hi Paul

If you decide to break the tii, I am interested in some of the parts - lux interior, front and rear shocks, 5 speed etc.  where are you based?

Cheers
James

Hello James

The car is in Dartford Kent . I really don't want to break it BUT if I get good enough offers for the bits then my mind may be made up. If you would like to take a look then either e-mail me at ... or call 07974 097653 Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
My advice is to continue with the restoration, Tii's are getting very rare and you will inevitably regret breaking it when you see the next fully restored car. I've got a Tii that i've been restoring now for some 8 years, I now that the money i've spent on it will never see a good return but its all about hearts and mind. Continue with the project sounds like you are not far from completion... Best of luck

Hello Divyesh

I really appreciate your advice and to be honest it's what I hope to do. With a bit of luck I may be able to complete the job as I have someone interested in a mint E21 323i that I am selling. Just out of interest are you in the Gravesend area and if so who's good for bodywork, painting, welding (minimal amount). I am in Eltham but have a small ind.unit in Dartford.
Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
I have seen to many good restorable 02's being scrapped or sold for parts when they are quite repairable.  These cars are now getting scarce and are starting to be worth good money.
I would recommend completing the resto. Sell off or complete the easy ones if you need to get rid of projects.
Cheers,
John.

Thanks John
I think you and Divyesh are right. My car is not that bad really compared to some of the restorations I have seen. I think I will finish it especially now I think I have sold my E21 323i which although in mint condition and a lovely car still does not do it for me like a Tii, if you know what i mean. Paul
