I Got One!
Thanks for all the advice. Went up to Dundalk today and put a deposit on a 1969 2002. Here's some pics:

Apparently it was previously restored, which to my non-mechanic eyes looked like a very professional job. There were just a few minor things:
No spare tyre. How much is this likely to set me back?
The rubber washers (please correct me here) between the joints on the underside were fairly decomposed. Presume its a fairly small job to replace them? What is the story with putting in seat-belts? I don't even know the law regarding this. Is it legal to have a vintage car on the road in Ireland without seat-belts?
Other than that I would like to put a stereo in it. That's an area where I know a little bit more.
Cheers
Ed
Looks nice, gutted we're not going to see it in England. Early model, Lovely original Rivera blue colour. Any decent garage should be able to do those little jobs. Seat beat fixings were in the Later 74 Square light models, but not sure about earlier RRL ones?
Anyone know?
Your 69 early car looks sweet Ed, Early 02's are very
thin on the ground now. Looks all correct to me and
its in such great shape! I would personally leave it
be and keep it original but of course you have to live
with it, drive it, feel comfortable and safe. I can
donate a correct 69 rim for you if you can't source
one more locally.
I'd love to see some more close up photo's to see if
it still has its unique early patterned chrome waist
trim.
